Ladies and Gentlemen, we have... a tooth!

B has big news! His first tooth broke through on Saturday (yes today is Thursday... my breaking news is a little late) but regardless, he is no longer toothless. E's got a very swollen gum and I think his tooth will be making an appearance in the next few days!

So far, I have not personally had any run-ins with the Tooth. It is only a matter of time I suspect before I get chomped. Interestingly enough, H didn't get his first tooth until about 9.5 months which is the babies' current age.

Not much else to report on the boy front. The babies will be getting PE tubes (ear tubes) on September 10th. Not soon enough but we'll manage until then.

B had his 9 month appointment yesterday. He's still very slender in about the 20th percentile for weight and he's in the 40th percentile for height at 28 inches. E has his appointment tomorrow so we'll see where he weighs in.

H is getting ready to start Montessori preschool. His teacher will be making a home visit so as to meet H in his natural habitat. ;) He'll be part of the inaugural pre-three class at this Montessori school. His class will have kids from 18-36 months. There will be 10 kids total with equal numbers of boys and girls. H will go from 8:30-11:30, Monday through Friday. I think the idea behind this is to maintain the same routine each day. And Montessori strives to instill self reliance, order and learning through play. Self reliance= getting dressed by oneself, learning to pick up before moving onto something else, and doing things by oneself. This is great, with three little boys, I'm pleased to be instilling these ideas early. But beyond that and more importantly, I think H will enjoy meeting new kids and learning new things.
